<p>Der Fluss <a href="Iton" title="Iton">Iton</a> fließt durch Gravigny, inzwischen eine nördliche <a href="Banlieue" title="Banlieue">banlieue</a> von <a href="%C3%89vreux" title="Évreux">Évreux</a>. Gravigny wird umgeben von den Nachbargemeinden <a href="Normanville_(Eure)" title="Normanville (Eure)">Normanville</a> im Norden, <a href="Sassey" title="Sassey">Sassey</a> im Osten, <a href="Huest" title="Huest">Huest</a> im Osten und Südosten, Évreux im Süden sowie <a href="Aviron" title="Aviron">Aviron</a> im Westen.
Durch die Gemeinde führt die <a href="Route_nationale_154" title="Route nationale 154">Route nationale 154</a>.

<p>Als sich Frankreich im <a href="Zweiter_Weltkrieg" title="Zweiter Weltkrieg">Zweiten Weltkrieg</a> unter <a href="Deutsche_Besetzung_Frankreichs_im_Zweiten_Weltkrieg" title="Deutsche Besetzung Frankreichs im Zweiten Weltkrieg">deutscher Besatzung</a> befand, wurde der seit Anfang der 1930er Jahre in Frankreich lebende portugiesische Gießereiarbeiter João de Brito aus <a href="Alcafozes" title="Alcafozes">Alcafozes</a> am 12. Mai 1942 nach einer <a href="Denunziation" title="Denunziation">Denunziation</a> über unerlaubten Waffenbesitz von der französischen Polizei festgenommen. Brito wurde in das Gefängnis von <a href="%C3%89vreux" title="Évreux">Évreux</a> gesperrt, dort wurde er den Deutschen übergeben, die ihn ab dem 24. Juni 1942 über <a href="La_Sant%C3%A9" title="La Santé">La Santé</a> in Paris, <a href="Hinzert-P%C3%B6lert" title="Hinzert-Pölert">Hinzert</a>, Wittich und <a href="K%C3%B6ln" title="Köln">Köln</a> in das <a href="KZ_Sonnenburg" title="KZ Sonnenburg">KZ Sonnenburg</a> deportierten, wo er am 12. März 1944 starb. Seine Familie blieb ohne Nachricht, erst 1972 folgte auf Drängen von Paulette de Brito eine <a href="Verschollenheit" title="Verschollenheit">Verschollenenerklärung</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>
